This prayer was written by the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.
Christian Aid is inviting churches across Britain and Ireland to join together in an act of witness to pray for Ukraine on Sunday 26 February, for an end to the conflict and for all those affected by the terrible impact of war.
This act of witness will stand in solidarity with national services being organised with Churches Together in Britain & Ireland, Churches Together in England and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church on 24 February.

A Prayer for Turkey & Syria
JPAG-News-15-Feb-23Heavenly Father,
Only You can mend what is broken.
So we come to You today, asking that You would comfort the people in Turkey and Syria who are hurting or have lost loved ones.
Show them that You care for them and that You hear their prayers. Your peace is greater than any circumstance. So when they are weak and their burdens are heavy, show them that You are strong, and You offer them comfort and peace.Reminder them that with You and You alone – nothing is impossible.

As we continue to focus on Christian unity and racial justice, we pray:
Almighty God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
you are love in community: three in one and one in three.
Draw us away from our narrow individualism
to a new understanding of togetherness
where differences are welcomed and celebrated
and where all ages and experiences
can work together to bring in your kingdom on earth.
