Current Dialogue December 2021

Current Dialogue, an annual special issue of the World Council of Churches’ Ecumenical Review, is available for free viewing and download for a limited time.

The issue looks back at 50 years of interreligious dialogue by the WCC, dating back to the establishment of the Office of Interreligious Dialogue and Cooperation (originally called the Sub-Unit on Dialogue with Men [sic] of Living Faiths and Ideologies) in 1971.

It includes five essays from young theologians who were judged as winners of an essay-writing competition on ‘The Future of Interreligious Dialogue’ organised to commemorate the 50th anniversary.
