Opportunities are now available to join one of our free short courses.

Learn digital, research and work skills in a modern, friendly environment.

Open to people over 18 looking to find a job, get back into work or into education or training, Work Skills @ Kresen Kernow is currently open to residents with a Redruth, Camborne, Illogan or St Day postcode. We are though looking to extend to Truro, Falmouth and Penryn also, please contact us for details. The courses are running all year but will be filled on a first come basis, so please contact us as soon as possible.

The Work Skills @ Kresen Kernow project is funded by the European Structural and Investment Funds programme and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, to help local people gain digital, workplace and heritage skills for employment and training.

Designed to help people gain an insight into the heritage sector in Cornwall, the courses will also use local and family history sources to learn new skills. Groups will be small and fully supported. We welcome requests for help with additional childcare, travel costs and learning support.

The programme will be based at Kresen Kernow, Cornwall’s archive and local studies centre, based on the old Brewery site in Redruth.
