As you may know, this year marks 30 years since the Fairtrade mark appeared on products in the UK so we are having a 30th Birthday party event at Central Methodist Church, Helston, TR13 8EL on Saturday 2 March from 10.00am to 12.30pm.
This will consist of a Fairtrade stall and a coffee morning with competitions, including a Cake Competition – the challenge being to come up with a decorated cake on a Fairtrade theme with a prize for the best one in each class. 2 classes – for under 12’s and for 12 years and over. The cakes will be sold for, and any donations for refreshments given, to the charity “Transform Trade”. Cake entries need to be brought to Central between 9.00 and 9.45 on the Saturday morning. Ingredients need to be listed including highlighting allergens. Extra points will be given for Fairtrade ingredients included – please give details of the brand used.
All are welcome to enter the competition and come to the birthday party.
