Russell Blacker writes: We have a concert coming up of really attractive, tuneful, and rarely-heard British music from the late C18th (see poster). Most of it has been edited from manuscript so you will be hearing its first performances in modern times! The players have greatly enjoyed discovering this music and we think you will too.
We’re including some popular songs from the period to offset the instrumental numbers which include a dazzling Violin Concerto, and a beautiful concerto for Clarinet packed full of Scottish folk songs.
The concert is at St Mary’s Penzance – on Sept 14th – at an earlier time of 7pm so everyone can get back home in good time. Raising funds for the support of persecuted Christians.
