Cornwall Food Access Alliance

Cornwall food access alliance was born out of the need to respond to people and communities. Cornwall VSF created alliances to focus on themes when we were challenged with forming an emergency response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Chaired by Andrew Yates – Social Responsibility Officer for the Diocese of Truro, with support from Sarah Phillips our Community Engagement Officer. The alliance is comprised of organisations such as food banks, community larders, and fridges, food distribution organisations, community growers, gleaners.

All alliances adhere to the same Terms of Reference.

Below are two videos we made to showcase the incredible collaboration work happening within the food sector. We find this work adheres to the values we are setting in the VCSE sector. Values of honesty, accessibility, integrrity, compassion and inclusivity. It demonstrates the power of working together in allainces, to strengthen and widen provision.
