COP26 Guide for Churches

Preparing for COP26

The UN climate talks are being hosted by the UK in November.

Hope for the Future wants all 650 MPs to hear from churches in their constituencies, voicing their support for the UK government to act to make COP26 a success, and offering to support their MP taking the corresponding actions within Parliament.

A step-by-step guide to holding a climate write-in at a church service, and the process for meeting your MP is available in our COP26 Guide.

Please read the guide and get in touch with our Church Outreach Officer, Rachel, at rachel.mander@hftf.org.uk to start the process.

Can we help your church?

Be supported through the process of meeting your MP

We provide tailored research, training and ongoing support to help your church build a working relationship with your local MP. The first landmark along this journey is being fully equipped and supported through an in-person meeting.

Be supported to run a church service or event

We run church services and provide theological resources, speaker training, and a variety of practical tools for responding to climate change as a church, all adapted to your context.
